If youve been to my webinars or perused my website, you know that I am a huge fan of maximizing time by trying to add in a little self-care wherever you can. So that’s what I’m doing right now- while peddling on this damn excercize bike at physical therapy.
You may also know that I HATE excercise as a form of self-care. I don’t mind the actual act of exercising but I have yet to find it at all therapeutic in the moment. It is certainly and important, if not vital, component of health and taking care of yourself, but I’ve never thought “oh I’ll go to the gym” when I’m stressed out- and believe me, I’ve tried.
I’m a Mindful Creative, if you know anything about the self-care personality types. I relax by writing, drawing, making stuff, and being still. So, no this bike is not really self care for me, but writing this blog post is. That, my friends, is integration.
If writing this post gets me though the ugggghness of having to workout and take care of my body, then I’ll take it. Thank you for spending the last 10 minutes with me. It really made the time go by
