How much would you pay to go to the moon?
Odd prompt, but I’ll answer it because I’m bored and feel like writing.
So, first of all, I’m not all that interested in going to the moon. It’s really cool and all, and I’m all for advancing our knowledge of space as a society, but there are a lot of other things that I would rather spend my money on, personally.
There are so many other things and places I’ve yet to explore. I guess if I was super duper rich and had travelled all ends of the earth like 10 times I might get bored enough to fly to the moon. Maybe. I still think I’d rather have a spa day in Marrakech.
Now, if moon travel became the norm I might try it. I’d definitely pay a reasonable fare if it was accessible and something that could be incorporated into my daily routine. If a friend called me on a Saturday and was like “Hey Amanda, wanna get brunch on the moon?” I’d probably be down. Wait, what am I saying? I’d definitely be down.
But as it stands, moon travel is like a huge ordeal and not something I can do for a few hours on a Saturday morning. It’s also like a billion dollars or something. So until there’s reasonable rideshare (with no surges) and until they’re serving pancakes up there, I’m all good.
